A fundraising event for North Devon Against Domestic Abuse
Sunday April 29th
10 - 4.30
Instow Village Hall
What a treat we have in store for you. A whole day of chilled, laid back creativity. For a one whole day you do not have to worry about a single thing except making beautiful things to take home with you. In fact the biggest decisions you'll have to make on this retreat will be creative ones: which materials, colours and textures to use on your projects. Everything else will be catered for with lunch, tea, coffee and cake included in the ticket price.
re:store, the chairty shops that support NDADA, have an ethos of upcycling, reusing and recycling at their core, so we have adopted this as the theme of the event. re:store will be supplying the majority of materials for the retreat and all the workshops involve using upcycled or recycled materials.
And wowzers - do we have some awesome projects lined up for you with some super talented artists and makers.
So how does it work?
When you book your ticket you'll get to choose one 2 hour project to make and one half hour taster make. One workshop will take place in the morning and the other will take place after lunch. We will also have some 'Make Stations' giving you the chance to indulge your creativity further, if you choose and if the mood takes you. If not just kick back and have a coffee break.
At the end of the event we will all sit down together for some communal crafting and spend an hour hand stitching a small patch. All the patches made on the day will be sewn together an turned into a small quilt to be auctioned off at a later date to raise further funds to support NDADA's important work in the community.
